ChicagoInno’s 50 on Fire

The TEC Center was delighted to find out this week that we have been nominated for ChicagoInno‘s 50 on Fire awards. Recognizing inventors, disrupters, luminaries and newsmakers, Chicago Inno’s 50 on Fire celebrates visionary individuals and companies across Chicago’s top industries. here is why ChicagoInno thinks the TEC Center is on fire:

Technology is changing the education game, even down to early childhood education. That’s where the Technology in Early Childhood (TEC) center at the Erikson Institute comes in. This center is the only one in Chicago focused on creating best practices for using technology in early childhood development. Recently they helped to write the NAEYC position statement on technology and early childhood which has since been referenced by organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and US Department of Education.

We are thrilled and thankful for this recognition in our innovation work to empower early childhood professionals to integrate technology in intentional and appropriate ways in their work with young children and families. You can learn more about our nomination here and more about our work at the TEC Center here!
