RAND Corporation releases its final brief from its series on technology and early childhood education.  This publication titled “Families, Powered On” describes factors that hinder family engagement in early childhood settings and ways that technology can be used to keep families connected to programs.  In the report, RAND explains that “technology presents opportunities to improve ECE outcomes by helping families become better educators at home and by strengthening the school-home connection.”  To illustrate this point, the authors present various strategies of using technology to improve communication processes and home-based involvement.
