Guidance for Selecting Apps with Your Children

In the latest issue of For Families from NAEYC, TEC Center friend and webinar rock star, Warren Buckleitner, Ph.D. provides tips for parents and caregivers in selecting apps that support children’s learning in the article “Selecting Apps to Support Children’s Learning .”  When looking at apps, Warren encourages us to, “Start with what you know about each child and the learning setting and ask, “How can this particular app, or digital tool influence the learning outcome?” He also offers some thoughts on what to look for in quality apps and how to know which apps aren’t worth the investment.
