Media Literacy in Early Childhood Report featured in Britannica Article

TEC Center’s newly released Media Literacy in Early Childhood Report is features in the Britannica for Parent article, “Zoo Animals Escape! A Lesson in Media Literacy”. In the article, TEC Center’s director and Erikson Institute’s Associate Professor, Alexis Lauricella, PhD, explains that media literacy education should start as early as possible. Lauricella is quoted saying,

Media literacy, like any form of literacy, can and should start early. As children grow and experience more of the world and more media, it is important that they have a foundation of media literacy to continue to build upon.
