Alexis LauricellaTEC Center’s director and Erikson Institute’s Associate Professor, Alexis Lauricella, PhD, is featured in the CNN article, “Coronavirus forces parents to change screen time plans”. In the article, Lauricella explains that parents often focus on the amount of time their children use screen-based devices. Lauricella is quoted saying,

As parents, we get stuck on numbers [such as] two hours of screen time.

Lauricella also mentions,

The screen itself isn’t the problem — it has never been the problem. It was doing anything in excess.
