Webinar: Using Technology and Children’s Media to Improve Social Skills in Young Children

Join us for the TEC Center webinar on appropriate ways of using technology and interactive media to support children’s social-emotional development. Developmental therapist Tamara Kaldor, 11′, and speech-language pathologist Jordan Sadler will offer practitioners and parents interested in learning how to use technology and children’s media effective approaches to improve children’s social skills at home, at school and in clinical settings.
The presenters will share techniques for how to integrate technology into social skills groups for children affected by autism spectrum disorders (ASD), sensory processing disorders (SPD), communication disorders, and other developmental differences.
In this webinar, Tamara and Jordan will present:
- high quality, professionally tested apps and children’s media and conduct brief demonstrations
- strategies and techniques for using the iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone to support young children’s social-emotional development and engagement.
- how technology can support the development of young children’s ability to relate to peers and adults
