In this webinar, Chip Donohue, editor, will launch a series of TEC webinars focused on the topics, issues, perspectives and big ideas from his new book, Family Engagement in the Digital Age: Early Childhood Educators as Media Mentors. This webinar will explore the essential role educators play in implementing technology-mediated practices that improve communication, strengthen the home-school connection, increase parent involvement, enhance family engagement and build a sense of community for young children, parents and families. Chip will also explore the meaning and importance of family engagement in the digital age, how technology can empower and engage parents, caregivers and families, and the emerging role of media mentors to guide young children and their families in the 21st century.
